Mimo, new transfer student to Fuchsia High School, is determined to get through the mundanity of state-mandated education without a hitch, but finds her plans completely derailed by a discovery: everyone but her is wearing a bizarre doll-face mask!

 

As the only "normal" one, Mimo gets swept down the conspiratorial rabbit hole, trying to figure out the why and how of this seemingly nonsensical town, Verdanta. Could it be a mass cult? A social experiment? Perhaps she is literally going crazy, or in an alternate dimension??? Finally, she settles on the one way to get answers: Mimo joins the Student Council, intent on stealing this school’s secrets right under their noses all by her lonesome. However, her attempts at upending Verdanta’s mysteries instead attract some similarly spirited students!

 

Now, she’s leading a troupe of high-school mystery-solvers - including the cavity-sweet Camden Graham, social hermit Winnie Wallows, the Ken Ellis, and like-minded mortal enemy Amour Jalos - as they yank any loose threads they can find, all in the vain hope of finally figuring out… literally anything at all!
